back to school on july 17th

heyy ! 4 days to go ! i'll be back to school . there's so much things in my mind . uhh --
i need to prepare a lot of things - school stationary , and even my mind .
the first day , my school asks me to bring kinda stuff .
1. my score list from my junior high school
2. registration number
3. shoes' receipt .

and i need to use new uniform . a blouse with green and white skirt and also long socks . hahh -- tiring ! but i know that later i'll have fun on that school . it's the school HE gives me to choose .
but i get a news that there will be no school orientation day ! pretty good . i don't have to make me fool with that ! hahah .

paul , a clairvoyant octopus

An octopus named Paul with possible psychic powers – who has correctly picked the winner of Germany’s four World Cup matches so far – on Tuesday tipped Germany to beat Argentina in their World Cup quarter-final match on Saturday.

Paul sits on a box with a decorated German flag at the Sea Life aquarium in Oberhausen, western Germany. Paul’s task is to decide in favor of one of the shells hidden in boxes with the flags of Germany and Argentina and to act thus as oracle for the upcoming quarterfinal match of the FIFA Football World Cup between the two countries.

Paul, who had correctly predicted the result of four matches earlier in the tournament, decided on Germany. The container Paul opens first is seen as his pick. However, Paul moved cautiously and spent about 45 minutes mulling his decision before eating the food in the box with the German flag – suggesting a hard-fought win in extra time or even penalties.

Paul, a two-year-old octopus, is getting famous day by day for his predictions over the FIFA World Cup’s matches. The eight-legged octopus has turned into a celebrity oracle for getting all four picks right so far – including last Sunday’s elimination round match when Germany beat England.

“It took Paul a really long time to make up his mind today for the Argentina-Germany match,” said Sea Life spokeswoman Tanja Munzig. “Even after he opened the Germany container it took him a while to go in and eat the clam.”

Munzig said, by contrast, it took Paul only seconds to decide before the England match to go for the Germany container. ”That it took him so long to make up his mind suggests it’ll be a very tense match against Argentina that won’t be decided until the very end — maybe not even until penalties,” she said.

Paul doesn’t only sit in the German container. He chose Serbia over Germany when he was asked to predict about the match between them during the group stages. Serbia defeated Germany and shocked the world and the Germans themselves.

Munzig also denied any suggestion the containers were rigged. She said that there is no trick about this, and there is no such thing as a “left side container” or a “right side container.” Argentina was on the left side on Tuesday (because the match is Argentina-Germany) whereas England was on the right last week (Germany-England).

The flags keep switching sides and it’s not always Germany he chooses for the win. The food is the same; the amount is the same, according to Munzig, the spokeswoman of the German aquarium. “There are no tricks, the food is the same and everything in the two containers is the same except for the flags,” she said. When asked how Paul predicts all the matches, the reply she gave was: “That’s his little secret.”

Secondhand serenade

Have you ever heard Secondhand Serenade ? It is an acoustic rock solo project fronted by vocalist and guitarist John Vesely. The solo project began in 2004. Vesely has released two studio albums to date under the name Secondhand Serenade, Awake in 2007 and A Twist in My Story in 2008.

His songs are great ! the lyrics are awesome . John Joseph Vesely formed Secondhand Serenade in his home town of Menlo Park in California, USA, in 2004. Vesely was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in a musical family and as the son of a professional jazz musician father, commenting that "getting into music was a natural thing" for him. He spent 8 years playing bass in local bands, featuring in a number of acts ranging in style from ska and hardcore to rock and pop .

One of the bands he played in, Sounds Like Life, included fellow Bay Area artist Ronnie Day. After years of playing bass, he opted for an acoustic guitar.
Vesely began writing his own songs when he met his wife Candice Vesely. She had wanted him to play a song and "serenading her with a bass guitar was out of the question." He has admitted he found his "true calling" when he picked up the guitar. The pseudonym Secondhand Serenade is a reference to the way in which his songs were 'serenades' sung to his wife Candice, with whom he has two young sons. People around the world are merely getting to hear the songs 'second-hand.' While Vesely continues to market the affectionate biography the couple broke up in 2008. Vesely was heart broken as we can see in many of his songs. He released "A Twist In My Story" as a reference to the divorce. In 2005, Vesely released his debut album titled Awake. It was recorded as a demo, after booking a few days at a Ontario studio earlier in 2005, "using just an acoustic guitar and his multi-tracked vocals."

The album was promoted through the Secondhand Serenade Myspace page and by playing local shows. The CD's were originally sold through mail order with a PayPal account by Vesely, eventually he signed up with distributor TuneCore, making Secondhand Serenade's songs available on music portals including iTunes. The album experienced tremendous online support, and by the end of 2006 Secondhand Serenade had received millions of plays on Myspace and had been the social-networking site's No. 1 Independent Artist for months. Financially, he was said to be bringing in up to $20,000 a month from downloads and merchandise sales out of his home. He sold over 15,000 copies of the album on his own, and on the strength of these sales and the support, naturally, the labels came knocking. Secondhand Serenade was signed by longtime label executive Daniel Glass, on his new label Glassnote Records, which is distributed through Warner's Independent Label Group.

In 2006, Rolling Stone announced Secondhand Serenade as #3 in the magazine's reader's poll for Best Myspace Artist.A Twist in My Story was released on February 19, 2008 and features songs from Awake such as "Maybe" and "Your Call," but reproduced with a full band. The bulk of the album however is a list of new songs written by John Vesely and recorded with a full band. Two tracks on A Twist In My Story were produced by famed producer Butch Walker, while the others were produced by former Nine Inch Nails member Danny Lohner. The first single, "Fall for You," was released January 21, 2008. The album was leaked, and was made available for download one month before its official release. On January 28, 2008 the music video for the first single from the album "Fall for You" premiered on the MTV show TRL.

In support of the release, Secondhand Serenade spent most of March and April touring with American bands Making April, Automatic Loveletter, and The White Tie Affair. Members of his touring band include John Harvey on bass guitar, Lukas Vesely (Vesely's brother) on keys/vox, Ryan Cook(former bassist of the White Tie Affair) on lead guitar/vox, and Tom Breyfogle on drums.Secondhand Serenade is currently in the studio recording a new album for an upcoming release. On September 27, 2009, while performing live in Columbus, Ohio Vesely announced their new album would most likely be released in January or February.

The forthcoming album is tentatively being called "Partly Liars." In a recent interview, Vesely stated that the new record will be more upbeat than his last album which focused on relationships.

it's the theme of my ex school's retreat and graduation day . it's true that within these days i'll be going to the next level , to senior high school ! ahaahaaa . hmm , at first they said that school is started at 19th of july . but now , i hear that it's started on 12th ! oh noo ! actually i'm happy . but , deeply in my heart , i have a big fear .

i'm afraid if i can get good scores as before .

Eminem: Now With Pretzels!

New albums by Eminem and Miley Cyrus?

Clearly, all's right with the world!

This is one of those good weeks when I make a list of "likely prospects"--albums I might draw your attention to if I so desire--and decide, after maybe 16 or so, there's no point in listing any more! It must mean the music business is healthier than ever! It's back on its feet, and so are we!

And to confirm your faith in my ability to single out today's most relevant and happening new music, let me share this: At this very moment, the computer on my left is ripping the complete works of Latin percussionist Pancho Sanchez, while the computer on my right is recording the last three vinyl albums produced by rockers Orleans before they were forbidden to make any more!

I tell you this for one reason alone: That I would do both of these things simultaneously, on two separate computers--capturing for all eternity the complete works of artists I don't really care about--while writing this blog on yet a third, indicates that my critical acumen has never been sharper in my entire life! Thus, when I tell you that an album has a really cool cover, you can bet it really does!

Eminem: Recovery (Shady/Aftermath) I think we're all pleased, and feeling kind of warm inside, that clever and charismatic rapper Eminem is back again, offering up a heady batch of cutting and incisive raps about life as he sees it! Still, time moves on, and the biggest question may be whether his once-hip audience is ready to make the same leap lovable Em' has: A complete album dedicated to the federal government's recovery plan, song after song exploring the nuances of inflation, deficits, the economic troubles of China and California's problematic Proposition 13--now nearly bankrupting the state! It may be bit much for those of us seeking the usual zany cast of characters including troubled women, his loudmouthed kid, guys with guns and lots of swear words! Additionally, the cover pic--illustrating the frustrated rapper walking back home from Windsor, Ontario, after miscalculating the cost of an imperial gallon of gas and, sadly, running out--may be too heart-wrenching for those of trying to seriously figure out what the deal is with this guy and Mariah Carey! Let's just call it another masterpiece and move on!
